The main reasons I like tech sticks compared to big air sticks is because the the control that is given when being lower to the ground and the creativity. Hitting up the streets you could do a lot more tech tricks including grinds, which aren't impossible on a big air stick. The tech sticks give more of a old school style that has allowed it to be a style that does not fade out of the xpogo community.
I've always like photography and graphic arts , so when I'm not pogoing, I'm messing around with some kind of art. Which is ironic 'cause most of the time the subject of my art is xpogo.
I look back when I first started pogoing and I would have never predicted the future. Back then the crazy things that were happening was the Flybar 1200 being released and this guy named 'Chewy' doing the sketchiest full backflips ever.
When ever Im bouncing in a group with other pogoers I used to feel left out and unseen. I would be riding a tech stick compared to thier more visually exciting big air sticks. But in these past few years I accepted and embraced that I was one of few tech riders. Because I have embraced this I might not get as much recognition from the spectators and public but I feel alot more respect from the xpogo community and that means a lot more to me.
